Character Design for a Children’s Story

These children’s book characters were created as part of the Character Play Bootcamp (2025) by Make Art That Sells. The project features original character design, illustration, and visual storytelling focused on a little mouse, her friend the thimble, and a playful clown. Two key story moments were illustrated to explore their personalities and interactions, bringing this whimsical story to life. This project showcases my process in children’s illustration, from concept art to final artwork.

This year, I had the chance to take part in the Character Play Bootcamp from Make Art That Sells. As part of the course, we were challenged to develop three characters for The Mouse and the Delicious Nut Butter, a story by Zoë Tucker. Here’s what I came up with.
